Community radio is: Transformative, accessible, local, and participatory. WERA is a low-power FM (LPFM) community radio station. It is licensed to provide non-commercial news, information, education, and entertainment to the residents of Arlington County and surrounding areas. WERA will focus its programming specifically on Arlington and the near vicinity.
Our 3.5-mile broadcast radius from the tower site at 2300 Clarendon Boulevard reaches a potential audience of 700,000 people, including all of Arlington County, parts of the surrounding Northern Virginia region, and even the White House in DC.
